Who we are:
History
McCarthy Youth and Conservation Park began with a 180 acre donation by Russel and Ella McCarthy to Dane County Parks, for the purpose of providing youth and conservation activities. An additional 80 acres has been purchased since making for a grand total of 260 acres.
The Friends of McCarthy Park are a group of neighbors, businesses, and interested individuals who all want to help develop and support the park and it's programs. The Friends of McCarthy Park board was formed to spearhead that initiative.
We are a non-profit organization and a tax exemption. Thank you to attorney Jennifer Annen for making that happen!
